2018 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

The 2018 August West Russian River Valley Pinot Noir comes entirely from the Graham Family Vineyard.  The main difference between this blend and the vineyard-designated Graham is that the RRV was fermented in a 5 ton stainless tank, while the Graham fermented in small, 3/4 ton bins.  The tanks fermented much warmer, extracting more from the grapes than the cooler bin fermentations.  Also, the clones for the RRV were picked one week after the clone that makes up the Graham vineyard-designate. 

 

Rose petals, violets, wild berries and earth make up the aromas of the '18 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir.  There's a baking and Pinot spice component to the palate which compliments the refreshing acidity.  The finish is very long.  Drink this between 2020 and 2025.
