2019 Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir
In Stock
The 2019 August West Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir is our first SLH which comes entirely from the Cortada Alta Vineyard. Since Cortada is the highest vineyard in the entire appellation, it sees more sun than the foggy sites below, but also has much colder nighttime temperatures. This combination of warm, sunny days and clear, cold nights leads to a very long growing season, lots of hang time, and concentrated, complex flavors.
With a superb nose of ripe berries, dusty earth mixed with the cool-climate SLH spiciness, the 2019 SLH Pinot is starting to drink well already. The palate is supple and rich with good acidity and firm tannins. Drink this from 2020-2028.
